I Have A Confession

I have a confession to make.... I am not a lifelong Disney fanatic (GASP!).  Don't get me wrong, I watched all the old school Disney movies. I had childhood and everything. However, I am not the girl who dresses like Minnie Mouse on Halloween or plays the soundtrack to Frozen on my way to work. I know, I can't believe I'm admitting it to the world. Although, after several trips to the Happiest Place On Earth, I just many have fallen in love. I am now embarking on a new journey. I will be heading to the sunshine state to be a part of the Spring '16 Disney College Program!

Where It All Started

It all started when I applied during my junior year of college but unbeknownst to me, my college did not accept the credits. That year I decided to study abroad instead. Now, I am finishing up my last semester of school (ROUND OF APPLAUSE...*If you didn't automatically say "baby make that ass shake" in your head, we can't be friends) so what better time to head off to Disney than right after graduation!

Seeing as we're being honest here, I have another confession to make. When I applied the second time around I was about three glasses of red wine deep with my cousin. I thought it was a brilliant idea to get my tipsy little chodey figures onto my mobile device and apply. This most likely happened because we were talking about how the adult world is sneaking up on us and lets keep being honest here, I'm not good at fully adulting yet. I needed one last learning/growing experience before I put on 1-inch heels and step out in corporate America.

 I SWEAR I'm Excited!

Now, reading over what I just wrote I make it sound like Disney is somewhere close to my personal hell. THAT IS SO NOT THE CASE. I am beyond excited and grateful that I was accepted. Yes, at first I did just "kinda apply" not because I didn't want to go but because I knew after college is when I should be applying for big girl jobs. Once I completed the phone interview, I dead set on going! I was checking my dashboard and email like crazy to see how it went, and I knew deep deep down there was a three-year-old Nicole just waiting to hear back from the big guy (that's a crappy Micky Mouse reference). I received my "Congratulations" email while I was in class and almost flew out of my chair. Sure, my whole class thought I was about to shit my pants, and I was running to the bathroom, so I didn't make a mess, but I didn't care. I had to screen shot that baby and post it to Facebook (gotta love our generation)! Mom if you are reading this don't worry, I called you FIRST!
